Compliance monitoring
Our Practices / Compliance monitoring
Ensuring compliance through project delivery
Code compliance is confirmed throughout the execution of a project. Codex monitors project implementation to verify that technical recommendations are carried out in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and the project's objectives.
Compliance monitoring helps confirm that the technical recommendations developed throughout the project have been properly implemented during construction.
Depending on the nature and stage of the project, this review may include the examination of drawings, photographs, reports or other supporting documentation provided by the owner or project team.
When required, Codex provides additional observations and recommendations to support the implementation of corrective measures and ensure the continuity of the code compliance process.
Villa Frédérick-James in Percé © Roger St-Laurent
The rehabilitation of the Frederick-James Villa, a landmark heritage building in Percé, required a regulatory approach tailored to its unique context. Codex conducted a code compliance assessment that addressed the challenges associated with preserving the building, relocating it outside the coastal erosion zone, and accommodating its expansion.
