Review of technical documentation

Our Practices / Review of technical documentation

Validate technical documents before construction

The quality of technical documentation plays a critical role in a project's code compliance. Codex reviews drawings and specifications to identify regulatory issues and support construction that meets applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Codex reviews drawings, specifications and technical documentation to verify their compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

This review helps identify elements that require clarification, revision or coordination before construction begins. It also helps reduce the risk of compliance issues while supporting project teams in producing complete, coordinated and code-compliant construction documents.

The revitalization of three heritage buildings in Place Royale required a regulatory approach tailored to an exceptional historic setting. Codex conducted the code analysis, prepared alternative solution submissions, and supported the integration of a new residential program while contributing to the restoration of the interior spaces, including the vaulted ceilings, in keeping with the buildings' heritage character.
