Codex provides technical expert assessments to analyze, document and help resolve complex building code compliance issues.
Our expertise may include the review of notices, non-compliance reports and findings issued by authorities having jurisdiction, inspection agencies or other stakeholders. These assessments help clarify the issues, evaluate applicable regulatory requirements and develop recommendations tailored to the specific context of each project.

The reconstruction of the Québec City Armoury following the 2008 fire required a regulatory approach tailored to an exceptional heritage building. From the initial code analysis through successive design reviews, Codex supported the project by developing several alternative solution submissions that met the objectives of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC) while preserving the building's architectural integrity and respecting its historical significance.
